About the Mountain Bike Coordination
The Mountain Bike Coordination Austria is responsible for the process of developing a nationwide mountain bike strategy. It structures and moderates the national stakeholder dialogue and brings together perspectives on mountain biking and its impacts on nature, land use, society, and the economy. The outcome is actionable recommendations that serve as a framework for guidance for politics, administration, and practice - within the existing legal framework.
The process is open and transparent: representatives from sports, tourism, forestry, hunting, nature and environmental protection, spatial planning, politics, and business are involved in a differentiated manner. The Mountain Bike Coordination remains neutral, is not an interest group, and does not serve as a lobbying instrument.
