COLI stands for Country and Organization-Led Initiative. CLI stands for Country-Led Initiative.
Usually, UNFF starts either a Country-Led Initiative (CLI) or a Organisation-Led Initiative (OLI). But we saw the advantages of a combination and started COLI.
To meet the guidelines of UNFF anyways, we also started a CLI which will formally be part of the whole COLI process. This CLI will be convened as Summit in February 2026 in Vienna. To make visible that this CLI is part of COLI, we call this CLI "COLI SUMMIT"
Although the COLI Summit is a CLI, it supports the work of the organizations UNFF and FAO.

The main aim is to create a useful multilateral dialogue to foster the exchange on sustainable forest-based bioeconomy approaches by connecting as many interested actors as possible and making best use of synergies.
