Summary Report of FAO Global Webinar Series

The FAO organized a global webinar series on sustainable forest-based bioeconomy approaches covering the six themes of the Global Summit to reach out to potential partner countries (with a focus on the Global South). The outcome of the webinar series and the webinars themselves contributed as preparation for the COLI Global Summit.

Policy Briefs

A science-led Think Tank worked on future scenarios and related policy recommendations and summarize the findings in Policy Briefs. It was under the leadership of IUFRO and its  established Task Force on Bioeconomy. The process generated guidance for actors interested in integrating bioeconomy approaches, strategies, action plans and practices, ensuring balanced outcomes for ecosystem services and land uses, including better understanding of forest biomass availability and supply, to sustainably meet future demands of the bioeconomy. Furthermore, the Policy Briefs served as background material to prepare participants for the COLI Global Summit.
