Submission of Austrian dossiers

Authorisation

The Austrian Chemical Law states that Austria should file at least two dossiers for Substances of Very High Concern according to Article 59 of Regulation (EC) no 1907/2006 (REACH Regulation) at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) per year. Austria has met this objective, partly through the cooperation with other Member States.

Classification of substances

So far, Austria has submitted several dossiers to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) outlining plans for the consistent and coherent classification of active substances contained in both plant protection products and biocides, as per Article 37 of Regulation (EC) no 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation).

A list comprising all substances of concern, as well as the dossiers submitted, is available on the website of ECHA.
