RESY Dashboard – The Regional Information and Monitoring System for the Development of the Regions
ince June 2024, the RESY Dashboard has supported evidence-based governance in the regions by facilitating access to selected indicators from official statistics and other publicly available data. With this information base, regional stakeholders can actively promote developments in their regions.
What is the RESY Dashboard?
RESY stands for Regional Information and Monitoring System. It is a project of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Regions and Water Management as well as the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy. Its aim is to strengthen cooperation between regional development and other sectors, such as tourism, thereby supporting stakeholders at the regional level.
The RESY Dashboard is a platform that visualizes relevant indicators from various areas, including demographic development, economic development, infrastructure and mobility, as well as energy and the environment. The dashboard is designed to make joint decision-making at the regional level easier for those responsible.
Currently, the dashboard includes 30 indicators across five thematic areas:

Interactive charts: Users can navigate through interactive charts that make it easy to recognize regional trends and patterns.

Comparison functions: It is possible to compare data for individual regions, municipalities, districts, and federal states.

User-friendliness: The platform is designed to be easily used even by users without deep technical or statistical knowledge.
How to use the RESY Dashboard:

Visit the website: Go to the RESY Dashboard website at www.resy-dashboard.at (Website in German only)

Select a region: Choose a region, and you will be directed to the relevant indicators.

Select data: Choose the indicators and data relevant to your needs. The dashboard provides data on 30 indicators across five thematic areas for around 600 regions and 2,093 municipalities. The data is regularly updated.

Compare and analyze: Use the comparison function to compare data from individual municipalities or regions with others. This helps to better understand trends and developments.

Export: You can export the desired data and save it in various formats for further analysis or use in reports.
