Community Database (GeDaBa)
The GeDaBa includes all financial transfers from the Ministry of Agriculture to municipalities. It also provides data on agricultural and forestry farms (number, land, livestock, et cetera). Available data starts from 2000 and the database is updated annually.
The following data are recorded in GeDaBa:
- Structural data: population, area, farms, agricultural land, livestock, et cetera.
- EU agricultural payments (Pillar 1 & 2 of the CAP) by measure
- Other national payments, for example: relief measures, crop and risk insurance
- Agri-environment program – ÖPUL (area and premiums by measure)
- Data on torrent and avalanche control
- Payments from the Climate Fund (where disbursed by KPC)
- Contaminated site remediation and securing
- Domestic environmental subsidies (for example: energy efficiency, air-improving measures)
- Water protection management
- Municipal participation in programs such as Agenda 21, Climate Alliance, e5 communities, or municipal audits
- Overnight stays for summer and winter tourism
All the above data at the municipal level can also be displayed by district, federal state, NUTS-3 region, district farmers’ chambers, and for Austria as a whole.
