EU Fisheries policy & subsidies
The policy areas of fisheries policy and maritime policy are handled in the European Commission by the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. The Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) primarily regulates the management of EU fish stocks and fisheries agreements with third countries. Maritime policy tries to ensure sustainable management of marine resources through several policy areas.
