The following lists with data from 2017 onwards provide an overview of those substances (or also of causes such as inadequate labelling or incorrect classification) which – whether due to exceeding the legally established concentration limits or due to prohibition – were the triggers for these Safety Gate notifications (formerly RAPEX notifications).

Annually, starting in 2017, a number of monitoring measures could be carried out in Austria on the basis of the Safety Gate system (formerly RAPEX), which is based on Directive 2001/95/EC, repealed by Regulation (EU) 2023/988, on general product safety, and Regulation (EC) No 765/2008, amended by Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, on the requirements for accreditation and market surveillance relating to the marketing of products.
