including ordinances for quality assurance

Studies have shown that, depending on the type of plant, up to around 15 percent of the total stock are released into the environment each year. The contribution of this sector is currently estimated at between 2 and 3 percent of Austria’s total greenhouse gas emissions. The EU has therefore taken harmonised measures to reduce these emissions by improving staff training, among other things.

Austria has implemented this qualification and certification system by means of the Law on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases 2009 (FTG 2009), Federal Law Gazette I No 103/2009, and four ordinances on the FTG 2009 published in the Federal Law Gazette on 15 July 2010 and on 7 January 2011.
