Thematic IPBES Assessment on the Interlinkages among Biodiversity, Water, Food and Health (Nexus Assessment)
This Assessment addresses how biodiversity, water, food and health are interconnected, how they interact and influence one another. The content was negotiated together with another Assessment on “Transformative Change” and the “Scoping Report for a second Global Assessment” during the 11th Plenary Session of the World Biodiversity Council in December 2024 in Windhoek, Namibia.
For this Assessment, the content was also summarized, negotiated and adopted in a “Summary for Policymakers” (SPM). Like the “SPM Transformative Change,” it is intended to provide policymakers with science-based guidance on measures and their implementation and to facilitate transformative change.
