Hydrography

The distribution of water quantities is subject to significant spatial and temporal variations. To better understand the hydrological processes of the water cycle and define them in figures, Austria’s hydrography monitors precipitation, the runoff in our water bodies, and groundwater. Division I/3 coordinates the activities of hydrography in Austria and publishes data, analyses, and event reports.
