The Environmental Policy Committee (EPOC), together with its subgroups, implements the OECD's environmental program. EPOC meetings are held at ministerial level every four years. The EPOC commissions, for example, the Environmental Outlook.

The OECD's Environmental Outlook to 2060 (to be released in 2026 at the next EPOC ministerial meeting) asks what the next four decades will bring if the world does not take more ambitious environmental action and makes policy recommendations. In addition, the EPOC oversees work on the following key thematic areas: country reviews, indicators, climate change, biodiversity and water, transport, natural resource management, environment and development, and resource efficiency and waste.

Modeled on annual economic reviews, the OECD Environmental Performance Reviews provide independent assessments of countries' progress in achieving their environmental policy goals.
