GLOBE (Global Legislators Organisation for a Balanced Environment) is an international association of parliamentarians with the goal of finding common legislative responses to key challenges in the implementation of sustainable development
The Global Legislators Organisation for a Balanced Environment (GLOBE International) was founded in 1989 and is an international organization of national parliamentarians from over 80 countries. These parliamentarians work together to develop and monitor the implementation of legislation that promotes sustainable development and a balanced environment.
The network offers members of parliament a cross-party and non-partisan platform for discussion to help prepare decision-making processes. This is primarily achieved through international and European parliamentary conferences.
GLOBE Members
GLOBE consists of members of the parliaments of the G8 countries and the G8+5 countries: China, India, Brazil, Mexico, and South Africa. GLOBE also offers regional policy dialogues for decision-makers in North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa.
