Global resource data in the online portal
Materialflows.net is a comprehensive online portal that provides up-to-date data and analyses on national material flows worldwide. Based on the UN IRP Global Material Flows Database, the platform offers modern visualizations and insights into material consumption and flows in over 200 countries from 1970 to 2024.
In individual analysis tools, global resource data can be clearly presented and downloaded using innovative visualizations. So-called “Stories” provide analyses on various aspects of resource consumption.
The presented analyses and visualizations are based on the global database of the United Nations International Resource Panel (IRP) and cover data from nearly 200 countries over the period from 1970 to 2024.
