Land use

The LULUCF sector (Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry) covers emissions from land management in the categories of forests, cropland, grassland and wetlands, settlements, and other lands. For forests, carbon storage and emissions in wood products are also taken into account. Since 2021, these have been integrated into the EU climate target, regulated by the LULUCF Regulation.
