The Climate Protection Act (KSG), passed in 2011 and last amended in 2017, sets emission ceilings for the energy and industry sectors (outside the EU Emissions Trading System), transport, buildings, agriculture, waste management, and fluorinated gases until 2020 and regulates the development and implementation of effective climate protection measures.
